U.S. Stock Market
As of the close on June 6, the S&P 500 index rose by 1.03%, closing at 6,000.36 points; the Nasdaq gained 1.20%, closing at 19,529.95
points; and the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 1.05%, closing at 42,762.87 points.
The S&P 500 index closed above 6,000 for the first time since February, still over 2% below its historical peak reached in February.

The best-performing sectors were technology and communication services, which gained 3.13% and 2.84%, respectively. The worst-
performing sectors were defensive consumer stocks and cyclical consumer stocks, both falling 1.36%.
In the week ending June 6, all three major indices recorded gains: the S&P 500 rose 1.5%, the Dow increased by 1.2%, and the Nasdaq
jumped 2.2%. Thanks to the recent rebound, all three indices have turned positive for the year.
